Darley Introduces Two New Low Cost CAFS

Do you remember when the calculator was first introduced, it cost over $100…today you can buy one for under a dollar. Darley who is the oldest and continued CAFS innovation leader is excited to introduce new economical systems.

We know that budgets are tight for many municipal customers, and Darley is responding by introducing two new CAFS products. The new Darley AutoCAFS HMBC 500/70 and the new Odin Mongoose.

Darley was the first to introduce a complete line of compressed air foam systems and we continue to lead the way with the new AutoCAFS model HMBC which features our ever popular HM 500 pump with an integrated belt driven 70 cfm compressor. The unit does not require a clutch! The system is available as a midship, PTO or Hydraulic drive. Darley selected the Vanair model 8e which is rated at 70 cfm at 125 psi. Larger compressors are also available.

Darley designed the system to drive down costs, while not sacrificing quality. Because it does not require engagement, there is no need for the AutoCAFS Commander control. The compressor control system includes a means to unload the compressor system to minimize parasitic power load when CAFS is not being used. The air compressor gage panel includes an hour meter, air pressure gage, oil temperature gage, compressor high temperature and high pressure warning indicator, and a compressor unload switch with indicator lamp.

The package is priced roughly half the price of most other systems on the market.

Odin Mongoose 70/35

Darley’s Odin Division has recognized the need for a lower priced self contained CAFS, and we are excited to introduce the new Odin Mongoose.

While Darley reduced costs, we did not skimp on quality. The unit still has the true Odin look and feel. Being introduced at the FDIC this year a more economical CAFS – 28 hp gasoline powered while still featuring a high quality Darley pump and Fast Foam injection system and Vanair compressor.

In addition to hitting a new lower price point, an emphasis on easy to run, with the least amount of controls on the panel to dazzle. Less pertinent controls will be under the lid. It features a single pressure for CAFS - 125 psi. No balance valve is required.

LED lights illuminate the CAFS control panel. There is no reaching in to find a primer, or wondering which valve opens the tank to pump. It comes ready to run - the only options currently offered are extra discharge valves and side panels.

The Mongoose is easy-to-operate and performs well at all performance points.
